As the Demand Planner based at Erskine Park and working as part of the Procurement and Supply Group for ANZ, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of all demand forecasting activities, ensuring that our inventory is optimised, and obsolescent stock is reduced. This opportunity will provide support to the S&OP process to drive alignment with cross functional partners such as Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, IT, and Finance to achieve best class forecast accuracy and inventory optimisation.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Developing demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation on a rolling 12-month basis.
- Reviewing historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
- Coordinating cross-functional activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
- Preparing and adjusting inventory forecasts as part of the S&OP process.
- Preparing and managing short dated and slow-moving stock reports.
- Maintaining Covetrus' demand planning system and software (including capturing data and activity related to product classification, order frequency and forecasting).
- Liaising with Sales & Marketing teams to factor all upcoming promotional/business initiatives into forecast.
About You
To be successful you will have:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Buying (Retail/Wholesale), Purchasing or Demand Planning.
- Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience working with E3 / SAP / Oracle Demand Planning or other demand planning platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Effective negotiating skills and the ability to network and influence people.
