About the role 
The Quality Services Manager is responsible for the administration of marketer commodity trading standards and accurate assessment and classification of grain at all sites in the region. Based from our regional office in Toowoomba, your remit will include oversight and leadership of permanent and casual staff. The team provides coverage for up to 46 grades of grain and 26 major grain segregations with up to 10M tonnes moving through the network in any given year. 
Specifically, your primary accountabilities will include: 
Administration of receival and outturn standards for grain and specific marketer requirements 
Administration of grain quality testing and QA systems and related technology, their development and implementation 
Leadership (support, coaching and ongoing development) of your team 
Close, regular, effective collaboration and partnership with operations teams, customers and growers 
Deep commitment to GrainCorp's SHE policies in all aspects of laboratory operations 
Estimation and monitoring against budget requirements and agreed targets 
Participation in development of grain quality assessment training programs including implementation 
Implementation and management of routine testing functions at GrainCorp port laboratories in the southern supply chain. 
Risk assessment of export CNA's through GrainCorp ports within the region to ensure customer requirements can be delivered 
About your experience 
Although not essential, tertiary qualifications in agricultural science or a related discipline would be useful as would an understanding of agronomics / farm economics.
