About the Role
Join the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service as a Clinical Nurse (Grade 6) in the Gladstone Mental Health Intake team. This role focuses on community-based adult mental health intake services. On-call duties are not required.
Requirements
* Nursing Level: CN Nurse Grade 6
* Current Driver's Licence
* Criminal History Check (General)
* Must agree to an 8-hour shift break
* Ability to work within a 24/7 operation
Contract Details
Role: Clinical Nurse - Mental Health Intake
Start Date: 15 December 2025 (may move to Tuesday/Wednesday depending on contract arrival time)
End Date: 11 January 2026

Duration: 4 weeks
Hours: 76 hours per fortnight
Bed and Scope
Provide adult mental health community intake services within the Gladstone region, supporting individuals requiring assessment, referral, and early intervention.
Accommodation & Travel
* Accommodation: Shared accommodation provided (on-site not always guaranteed)
* Domestic Travel: $200 incl. GST each way for start and completion of contract (tax receipts required)
* All travel expenses, including internal/external administration fees, must be approved by CQHHS in advance in accordance with S11 of Schedule 2 of the PSP .
* Travel must occur within 2 days of contract start and completion unless otherwise approved in writing.
* Note: CQHHS does not use electronic timesheets.
