The team is located at the Royal Hobart Hospital, working with a team of cooks and food service officers, preparing and cooking food for patients, visitors and clients. This position provides administrative support to this team.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the team of cooks and food service officers in a hospital setting.
- Assist with policies, procedures, guidelines and legislation as they are used in the workplace.
- Contribute to effective communication with public and staff at all levels, and support workflow organization and problem solving to meet demand.
Qualifications
- Experience in administrative functions and the ability to undertake those duties efficiently and effectively within a hospital environment, with knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and legislation.
- Well-developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to interact with public and staff at all levels.
- Demonstrated flexibility and customer service skills, with the ability to organise, prioritise and problem solve workflows in a team environment.
Details of appointment
Permanent part time, shift worker position, 30.4 hours per fortnight, weekends only, commencing as soon as possible. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant.
Salary
Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum pro rata. Employer superannuation contribution is on top of this amount (12%).

Eligibility
Desirable criteria: successful completion of or willingness to undertake a recognised course in business/office administration; demonstrated experience in a healthcare setting.
