Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our Cardiac Cath Lab Department. This position is on an ongoing, part-time basis of 64 hours per fortnight.

The Nurse Unit Manager will ensure that the service delivered, within a multidisciplinary environment, reflects current best practice and is of the highest standard. The care delivered must be patient-centred and delivered in an efficient and effective manner.

The NUM is responsible for all areas of the operational performance of the Department, including managing budget and Key Performance Indicators as determined by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the LRH Executive.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

* Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA.
* Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to lead a team.
* Sound clinical knowledge, skills, and a minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary service delivery framework.
* Commitment to ongoing professional training and development.
* Evidence of recent professional development is desirable.

LRH cares for a population of about 300,000 and is the regional provider of specialist services. Our catchment covers 42,000 square kilometres, from Phillip Island to Mallacoota in the far east of Victoria. LRH offers cardiac care, surgery, medical, renal, emergency care, aged care, women's and children's services, pharmacy, allied health, and rehabilitation. Medical and radiation oncology are offered by the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre.

Now is an exciting time to join the LRH team, with the $223.5 million expansion completed in March 2024, offering improved maternity and paediatric facilities, larger intensive care unit, increased medical and surgical beds, and additional operating theatres.
