The Opportunity
We are seeking a Local Area Marketing Coordinator to join our marketing team. This exciting role is ideal for someone with a passion for small business marketing, an understanding of local area marketing strategies, and the ability to engage with members to develop tailored marketing initiatives.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will collaborate closely with independent optometrists to support their local marketing efforts, ensuring they have the right marketing strategies and to effectively reach their communities.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
* Utilising you broad marketing knowledge to advise members of local area marketing strategies, encompassing digital, social and traditional marketing channels to growth their patient base and maximise patient retention.
* Supporting members to transition to a digital first marketing approach
* Providing creative input generating ideas, design input, and writing compelling marketing copy.
* Develop marketing solutions and succinct briefs for key stakeholders including members and internal designers.
* Conducting research to assess local market positioning and identify growth opportunities for members.
* Supporting marketing execution and production, liaising with printers, signwriters, and suppliers, as well as advising on database marketing initiatives.
* Engaging with members to provide structured planning, follow-up, and ongoing marketing support.
* Provide guidance and support to members to maximise the use of ProVision Marketing systems & resources.
* Assisting with broader marketing team projects as needed.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a highly organised and resourceful marketing professional who enjoys working closely with people and executing practical marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will have:
* Well-developed knowledge of the marketing mix, trends, and digital/social media marketing.
* Experience in marketing execution, including an understanding of print production and collaborating with suppliers.
* Strong copywriting skills and creative flair to develop engaging local marketing materials.
* A solid understanding of small business marketing and the unique challenges faced by independent operators (preferred).
* Excellent critical thinking skills, resourcefulness and the ability to anticipate challenges and resolve them effectively.
* Strong organisational and planning skills to manage multiple projects and ensure follow-through.
* An elevated level of client engagement and relationship management skills.
