We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Pharmacy Technician, Senior Radiopharmacy Technician or Radiopharmacy Scientist to join our established Radiopharmacy team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH).
This is an excellent chance for someone seeking to develop their career in a hospital Radiopharmacy setting, taking on a key position in a dynamic and forward-thinking department.In this role, you will report to the Radiopharmacy Production Manager and work as a core member of the production team.
You will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing technical, organisational, and production standards, contributing to the consistent delivery of a safe, efficient, and high-quality radiopharmaceutical service.
The post requires a sound understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and national regulatory standards, along with a strong commitment to quality and patient safety.Main duties of the jobResponsible for supporting the Radiopharmacy Production Manager, Quality Systems Manager and the Head of Radiopharmacy in the provision and development of Radiopharmacy Services at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.Performs the role of Deputy to the Radiopharmacy Production Manager.Performs and coordinates technical duties to ensure smooth running of the Radiopharmacy Unit and supply of radiopharmaceuticals for patients at CUH and other hospitals requesting the service.Participates in the maintenance of the Radiopharmacy documentation system for the facility, equipment and environment.Undertakes training of students, trainees, rotational senior clinical technologists and other junior staff including supervision of the Assistants, Technicians in the Radiopharmacy Unit.Undertakes the highly specialised quality control systems for the manufactured radiopharmaceuticals, including IMPs, in close cooperation with the Radiopharmacy Production Manager and Quality Systems Manager.About usOur TrustCambridge University Hospitals (CUH) NHS Foundation Trust comprises Addenbrooke's Hospital and the Rosie Hospital in Cambridge.

It houses advanced cleanroom suites for the production of Gallium-68 PET radiopharmaceuticals and Technetium-99m tracers, in addition to dedicated blood-labelling areas and a quality control laboratory.
A GMP-compliant C-13 clean room supports collaborative research with Cambridge University and leading pharmaceutical industry partners.
The department plays an active role in supporting a wide range of research trials and clinical studies in PET-CT, general nuclear medicine and radionuclide therapy, with a continual focus on innovation and the improvement of patient care.Training and development are embedded in our departments ethos.
