About the role
As the Principal Engineer (Ripley PDA), you will be part of the Development Planning Branch, responsible for leading engineering assessments of development applications within the Ripley Valley Priority Development Area (PDA).
Your main focus will be to provide expert engineering advice and decision-making on complex development applications in the Ripley Valley PDA.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing specialist engineering advice
* Exercise balanced judgement in accordance with relevant legislation for additional information requests
* Conducting engineering assessments of complex development applications, including large subdivisions, material change of use, operational works, and compliance assessments
* Performing maintenance inspections and post-development processes, including offset application assessments
* Coordinating with engineers, planners, and external partners
* Guiding and mentoring team members on engineering matters in the Ripley Valley PDA
* Reviewing assessment processes for improvements

About you
