About the role
We have an opportunity for a Technical Support Administratorto be part of our Digital Workplace Platform - Field Support team, Technology and Communications Services Command. The Technical Support Administrator provides technical support and advice to users across multiple locations, platforms and technologies with an emphasis on exceptional customer service, coordinating and guiding the activities of Technical Support staff responsible for the operational maintenance of the organisation's ICT environment.
The Technical Support Administrator (Team Lead) is a key role focused on delivering Technical Field Support and ensuring smooth operations across NSWPF. You will act as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues, providing expert troubleshooting and guidance to maintain reliability and continuity.
A major part of the role involves coordinating technical setup and support for major event, operations, and other critical engagements. Beyond day-to-day responsibilities, you will be involved in strategic technology initiatives, including the rollout of Azure Virtual Desktop, adoption of modern management solutions, and the coordination of Tech Bars to enhance end‐user support and streamline device refresh processes.
In addition, you will lead and mentor a team of 5–9 direct reports, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and technical excellence. You'll be responsible for guiding your team through operational priorities while supporting their development and engagement.
