About Kapooka Health Centre
Located just 10 minutes from Wagga Wagga at Blamey Barracks - "Home of the Soldier", the Kapooka Health Centre facilities are part of the Army Recruit Training Centre (ARTC) and plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive healthcare to new recruits. Spanning across two building, Kapooka offers variety with a 50 bed low dependency ward operating 24/7 and a multidisciplinary clinic delivering primary health care Monday to Friday day shift, offering a broad spectrum of healthcare services, including nursing, medical, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical, and physiotherapy. (Depending on role requirements, and base location you may be required for weekend and on-call shifts).
What You'll Do
Deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members
Occ Med environment
Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment
Conduct fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care
Provide medical advice to Defence health leadership
What You Bring
Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner
FRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational Registration
Minimum two years' GP experience in the last five years
Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
Additional Information
Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
Provide Occupational Medicine services
Civilian role – no enlistment required
