Are you a highly skilled Rail Operations professional looking for flexible, casual work opportunities? We're seeking an individual to work on an ad-hoc basis with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering high-quality training programs in New South Wales.
About the Role
As a Rail Operations Trainer, you'll play a key role in supporting the next generation of rail industry professionals. Working on a casual, as-needed basis, you will deliver practical and theoretical training aligned with nationally recognised qualifications. Your expertise will ensure learners gain the skills and knowledge required to operate safely and efficiently in the rail industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate rail operations training in accordance with the RTO's training and assessment strategies.
* Deliver both practical and theoretical components of training.
* Conduct competency assessments to ensure compliance with national training standards.
* Support learners with advice and guidance throughout their training.
* Provide feedback to the RTO on learner progress and training outcomes.
* Maintain accurate training and assessment records.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122) or equivalent qualification.
* TLI42622 - Certificate IV in Train Driving or an equivalent qualification.
* NSW safeworking knowledge and experience.
* Valid National Police Clearance (with no court outcomes).
* Significant experience as a qualified Rail Operations Driver.
* The ability to pass a Category 1 Rail Medical.
* Strong knowledge of national rail safety standards and industry regulations.
* Current Australian Driver's licence.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* A commitment to safety and high-quality training delivery.
* Flexibility to work on a casual, ad-hoc basis.
