Overview
Mission Australia's Homelessness & Housing Support Service in Bega Valley provides vital assistance to adults and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The service includes a dedicated 4‐bedroom crisis accommodation facility for women, with or without children, impacted by family and domestic violence, alongside tailored outreach, advocacy, and case management support.
Responsibilities
* Respond to referrals and conduct assessments as required.
* Provide intensive, strength-based case management.
* Work with families, women, and men in crisis situations.
* Manage complex caseloads and refer families to services in the local area.
* Build strong relationships with your clients to ensure they have all the support to achieve their goals.
* Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders of the business and programs.
* Empower and support your clients to become independent.
Qualifications
* Diploma in Community Services with relevant experience, or other appropriate qualifications/experience.
* Demonstrated relevant work experience in the homelessness sector.
* Proven ability to build and maintain sustainable relationships with internal and external partners.
* Understanding of the challenges faced by individuals at risk of homelessness.
* Previous experience supporting people from a variety of different backgrounds and levels of disadvantage.
* Understanding of recovery factors from lived experience and professional development, with the ability to support others on their recovery journey.
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
* Current NSW driver's licence.
