The Role
You will be responsible for preparing accurate, detailed and competitive tenders for a wide range of ground engineering projects. Working closely with Operations, Engineering and Senior Management, You will ensure our bids are commercially sound, technically feasible, and aligned.
Key Responsibilities
Review tender documentation, drawings and specifications
Prepare detailed cost estimates across labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
Develop methodologies for civil, shotcrete, soil nails, ground anchors, slope stabilisation, piling, retaining structures and general ground improvement works
Conduct site visits and liaise directly with clients, suppliers and internal project teams
Prepare tender submissions, clarifications and supporting technical documents
Assist with handover to project delivery teams to ensure smooth transition from tender to site
About You
Minimum 5 years' estimating experience within civil, ground engineering, geotechnical, or construction environments
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, productivity rates and industry costs
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, geotechnical reports and technical specifications
High-level attention to detail and strong commercial awareness
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft suite
Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
