As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team and lead the delivery of complex clinical care in the community. What We Offer Monday to Friday schedule Travel cost coverage Competitive hourly rate Additional pay for nights, weekends, and public holiday Supportive and approachable management A values-driven, collaborative team culture Meaningful work that positively impacts veterans’ lives Birthday and service milestone gifts Annual Year-End Party Company Culture Engagement Activities Regular check-ins and ongoing support from your leader Access to accredited training and professional development Key Responsibilities Complex Wound Care • Conduct thorough wound assessments (including photography, measurements, and staging) • Develop and implement individualized wound management plans • Evaluate dressing types, advanced therapies, and negative pressure wound options Catheter Management • Insert, maintain, and troubleshoot indwelling (IDC) and suprapubic (SPC) catheters • Educate patients and carers on proper catheter care, infection prevention, and early signs of complications Patient Assessment & Care Planning • Perform holistic in-home assessments (covering physical, psychosocial, and environmental factors) • Develop and review person-centered care plans in collaboration with allied health and medical teams • Coordinate referrals to relevant health and community services Clinical Leadership • Mentor and support junior nurses and student placements in the community • Lead and contribute to the development of clinical policies, procedures, and best-practice guidelines • Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives What We’re Looking For • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse • Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience, with demonstrated capability in community or aged care settings • Strong experience in wound care, catheter care, and complex case management • Proven clinical leadership and mentoring skills • A current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle • Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain • Unrestricted work rights in Australia • Excellent communication and documentation skills • Commitment to best practice, holistic care, and continuous improvement If you’re a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist looking to make a real impact and support our nation’s veterans, we’d love to hear from you.
