Your new role
As the People & Culture Officer, you will:
* Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
* Model positive safety behaviours and uphold WHS practices in all work activities.
* Coordinate employee lifecycle processes including recruitment, onboarding, probation, employee changes and terminations, ensuring accuracy, timely administration, and effective record keeping.
* Ensure high‑quality data entry, reporting and maintenance of HR information within HRIS systems.
* Support business continuity by following reasonable directions during unplanned disruptions or events.
* Manage the position description process, including gathering historical information, ensuring accuracy and maintaining records.
* Act as the primary custodian of personnel files, ensuring timely archiving and records management.
* Deliver end‑to‑end coordination and budget oversight for key organisational events, such as recognition programs and service awards.
* Make recommendations for process improvements and support the review of procedures, work instructions and forms.
* Respond to information requests within agreed timeframes while exercising sound judgement, discretion and confidentiality.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders, contributing to a customer‑centric and accountable workplace culture.
* Work collaboratively within a multi‑skilled team to deliver consistent, high‑quality People & Culture services.
What you'll need to succeed
This role is ideal for a proactive HR or recruitment professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, service‑driven environment and is motivated to support organisational growth and community‑centred outcomes.
We're looking for someone with:
* Demonstrated experience role‑modelling positive safety behaviours and adherence to WHS requirements.
* Certificate IV in Business or a related qualification (or equivalent experience).
* Experience in HR administration and recruitment processes.
* Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* High level of computer literacy, including HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
* High levels of accuracy, confidentiality, attention to detail, initiative and sound judgement.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build positive working relationships.
