We're seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as Manager, Strategic Partnerships. This is a high-impact role responsible for building and nurturing trusted, multi-level client relationships across a portfolio of major accounts. You will act as a brand ambassador for Compass Group, driving retention, growth, and long-term client advocacy.
THE POSITION
This role focuses on building powerful, long-term partnerships that drive client success and business growth. As the Manager, Strategic Partnerships, you will be the key link between Compass Group and our most valued clients, acting as a trusted advisor, strategic thinker, and brand ambassador.
You will lead a portfolio of high-value accounts, working across all levels of client organisations to deliver tailored solutions, pre-emptive retention strategies, and meaningful engagement. Your ability to communicate with influence, navigate complexity, and foster trust will be critical to ensuring our clients remain advocates for Compass Group into the future.
Main responsibilities:
* Lead a portfolio of up to 40 strategic accounts with revenue responsibility between $200M–$800M
* Develop and execute pre-emptive retention strategies to avoid tenders and protect margins
* Build and maintain multi-level client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
* Facilitate client strategy workshops and internal alignment sessions
* Collaborate with senior leaders across Compass Group to deliver client-focused solutions
* Monitor market and competitor trends to inform growth and retention strategies
THE PERSON
* 8+ years' experience in B2B client relationship management, strategic partnerships, or enterprise sales
* Proven success in long-term relationship building with senior stakeholders
* Strong commercial acumen with experience in risk assessment and financial forecasting
* Deep understanding of the Australian food and facilities management industry
* Ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams
* Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
* High-level literacy and numeracy
