Southern Hills Christian College is a K-12 Christian school in Bedfordale, Western Australia, and is part of the Swan Christian Education Association. Our staff are all committed Christians, and this belief is embedded both explicitly and implicitly in our curriculum and all that we do.
We are seeking two dedicated and passionate Education Assistant's to join our Primary School team in a full-time position commencing on the 28th of January 2026. Available is an ongoing position as well as a fixed-term position as a short-term Long Service Leave cover. You will be supporting the classroom teacher, fostering a warm and inclusive environment, and helping students grow in learning, wellbeing, and faith.

Key Responsibilities:
* Support the classroom teacher in teaching and learning.
* Assist with small-group and individual learning activities.
* Help maintain a calm, inclusive and Christ-centred classroom environment.
* Build supportive relationships with students.
* Assist with supervision, preparation of materials and general class tasks.
* Contribute to school life and uphold SCEA's Christian values.
Selection Criteria:
Essential:
* To have a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and be an active member of a Christian Church.
* To accept the Association's Statement of Faith, Foundational Statements of Belief and Educational Objectives and be living a lifestyle consistent with these statements.
* Ability to support student learning in a Primary setting.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Warm, adaptable and able to nurture a positive classroom environment.
* Willing to uphold and contribute to the Christian life of the school.
Desirable:
(Include where appropriate in your response)
* Relevant qualification (e.g. Certificate III/IV in Education Support or similar).
* Experience supporting Primary students.
* Confidence working with students and diverse needs.
* Familiarity with digital tools used in schools.
