Business Manager Science and ANBG Branch
This is a key role responsible for the oversight and delivery of business and financial management functions across the Branch.
The job includes:
* Oversee business and financial management for the Branch, working closely with senior staff to provide regular updates and reporting.
* Coordinate the finance and business-related staff in the Branch to deliver effective, accurate, timely and compliant financial and business management.
* Develop and contribute to business improvement strategies for the Branch and to strategic planning for longer-term initiatives that seek to improve the efficient and effective operation of the Branch.
* Work closely with other teams to support budgeting, forecasting and financial management processes and reporting.
* Provide high-quality advice regarding financial status and budget tracking, and handle queries/forecasts between the Branch and other teams.
The Business Manager will oversee and track Branch ASL and staffing data, and provide updates to support finance and HR management and data queries.

Knowledge and experience:
* A track record of cultivating productive working relationships across a team structure or equivalent and of building relationships with relevant areas in the organisation.
* Demonstrated expertise and skills in financial management appropriate to managing budgets and multiple cost centres.
* The ability to work in a complex and diverse environment and to critically evaluate and analyse information and data.
* A working knowledge of CPRs, delegations and procurement frameworks, contract development and management and MOU development.
Skills and capabilities:
* Relevant business management and financial skills including budget and cost centre management, financial forecasting, contract and MOU development and management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to build rapport and collaborate across multiple teams.
* Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to deal with complexity and make progress in changing environments.
Desirable qualifications:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Finance, Business Management or Business Administration.
Eligibility and other requirements:
* Citizenship - you must be an Australian citizen.
* Security Clearance - this position requires a Baseline Vetting security clearance.
