Overview
We are looking for a reliable and dedicated Tuckshop Assistant to work in a permanent, part‐time capacity (12 hours per week – 3 hours per day, 4 days per week). The role supports the smooth daily operations of the St Catherine's Catholic College tuckshop, ensuring high standards of food preparation, customer service, and safety.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve food and refreshments in accordance with health and safety standards.
* Coordinate volunteers and manage staffing schedules for the tuckshop.
* Maintain inventory, place orders, and manage stock to ensure adequate supply.
* Keep the tuckshop area clean, organised, and safe for students, staff and visitors.
* Provide friendly, welcoming customer service that reflects the College's Catholic values.
* Assist in implementing and upholding the College's student safety and wellbeing policies.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
* Strong food‐handling skills and knowledge of health and safety compliance.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly, welcoming manner.
* Valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or equivalent registration with QCT or AHPRA prior to commencement.
* Complete a pre‐employment medical assessment as required for the role.
