The organization is expanding and now seeks a commercially savvy Senior Agronomist to drive the growth of its consulting offering and footprint in the broadacre and cotton sector.
This newly created position is focused on consulting agronomy and business development, with strong autonomy and growth potential. You'll work closely with the Managing Director to service current clients, win new business, and design and deliver our clients cotton and broadacre agronomy capability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver expert agronomic advice to broadacre clients
* Win and retain new clients across the Region
* Design and develop the cotton and broadacre consulting arm
* Lead agronomic policy and industry engagement
* Attend field days and contribute to strategy and planning
* Use Agworld to track activity and manage recommendations
* Build toward future team leadership within 12 months
About You
You're a commercially driven agronomist with technical expertise and a passion for client success. You're comfortable building your own book and excited by the opportunity to create something lasting.
You will bring:
* Minimum 5 years' agronomy experience in broadacre and or Cotton
* A strong network
* Proven business development skills — ability to generate revenue
* Technical excellence and passion for independent consulting
* A values-aligned personality: honest, reliable, modest, and driven
* Cotton experience or willingness to help build a cotton offering
* Desire to help shape a business, and potentially a future leadership path
