The Team:

The Hospitals – North West Quality & Patient Safety Service coordinates and promotes Patient Safety Programs, Quality Improvement, Risk and Incident Management.

The Role:

- Provides leadership and manages the coordination of the assigned Quality and Patient Safety portfolio within Hospitals North West across the North West region.
- Supports the efficient and effective provision of care, based on clinical standards and best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework by coordinating the clinical, management, education, and nursing research functions for the Quality and Patient Safety portfolio within Hospitals North West.
- Has a sound understanding of accreditation, including the implementation of the National Safety and Quality Health Service standards.

You will need:

- Utilise your leadership skills to enhance the implementation of accreditation standards including the National Safety & Quality Health Service (NSQHS) standards
- Some travel will be required across the North West region.

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $122,365 to $129,060 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
