Key Role: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
This position requires an individual who can troubleshoot and perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) using specialist machinery. The role involves a range of tasks including fitter, fabricator, welder, and service engineer duties.
The successful candidate will be able to work in a busy environment, being flexible and able to adapt to daily priorities. Some physical demands may be involved due to occasional heavy work, but the candidate should be fit enough to perform duties.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform regular maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure smooth operation.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose faults with machinery and electrical control systems.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues as part of a team.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders through written and verbal means.
Requirements:
* A level 3 qualification in Engineering discipline.
* Experience in manufacturing/factory environments.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to diagnose faults with hydraulics, pneumatic, and drive chain systems.
* Knowledge of electrical control systems and bearing fitting/alignment procedures.
