Job Overview:
The Finance Division plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial sustainability of DHA by providing effective decision-making support and policy compliance.
This position will be responsible for developing and delivering monthly financial reports within specified timeframes, including reviewing financial transactions and preparing financial journals to ensure data integrity.
Key responsibilities include contributing to the preparation of General Purpose Financial statements for DHA, liaison with external auditors, review of internal procedures and recommendations to the Manager, Accounting Services regarding proposed changes, management of asset accounting functions to ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and serving as an expert on property development accounting matters.
* Prepare and present detailed financial reports to stakeholders, providing clear analysis of financial results.
* Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
* Analyse financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, making recommendations to enhance business processes.
