Make your mark in Client and Broker Engagement
Our Client and Broker Engagement (CBE) team manages AIG's major client relationships across all product lines, as well as driving new business activity. The team serves major clients and broker partners through an elevated, personalized experience – our client-centric framework drives a consistent experience and best practice, while allowing flexibility to meet the client's needs.
How you will create an impact
Reporting to the Country GM, and with a matrix report to the Head of Client & Broker Engagement, APAC, you have responsibility for managing the broker channel and client engagement.
This is critical to ensure AIG executes a clearly defined go-to-market distribution strategy to deliver sustained growth by segment and that we deliver on, and articulate a compelling value proposition to clients, colleagues and brokers, working in partnership, driving revenue growth and leveraging data and analytics.
Key responsibilities will include but no limited to:
* You will be responsible for developing and executing AIG's broker distribution strategy. Working with defined brokers to develop profitable retention and growth strategies, including:
o Product, industry or segment initiatives in alignment with Profit Centre Risk Appetite
o Broker segment driven initiatives with Global, International and key National Brokers
o Account targeting and pipeline management initiatives
o Broker service and engagement plans incl. regular business review meetings
o Joint marketing initiatives including conventions and seminars
* Responsible for client stewardship, you will develop and execute strategies which improve client retention and penetration, including:
o Relationship management with key clients
o Client seminars, conferences and other strategies to maximise client interaction
* You are responsible for promoting AIG's Multinational value proposition to clients and Brokers
* Responsible for developing and executing strategies which develop and bolster AIG's brand with brokers and clients, develop and promote our unique selling points or differentiation and demonstrate our expertise, particularly in respect of Commercial Lines
* You are responsible for ensuring that respective Profit Centres follow regionally mandated best practices in the sales process, specifically including use of analytics such as Salesforce and D&B.
* Your operational responsibilities extend to creating and managing an inclusive relationship with colleagues in other departments, including Claims, CSG, FP&A, O&S, Legal, and any other service centre, furnishing them with such assistance as is required to enable them to perform their functions.
* You are responsible for ensuring that your staff are competent in their role, aware of their responsibilities, and receive appropriate training and development both from yourself, HR initiatives and/or external sources to be able to execute their duties. Your personnel responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Ensure personnel are aware of their responsibilities and adequately trained to execute them.
o Supervise personnel to ensure they are fulfilling their responsibilities
o Implement governance procedures to prevent personnel from failing in their duties.
o Source and develop talent within your function to ensure adequate succession plans
o Coordinate technical and professional development in conjunction with HR and other providers.
o Set KPIs and conduct performance reviews.
* You are responsible for driving connection between Products, Claims and Engineering to deepen our broker and client relationships. This includes leveraging existing relationships for enhanced outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
* Strong insurance industry experience, including frontline underwriting or broking.
* Has deep industry and market expertise, analysing trends and making decisions that lead to sustained profitable growth
* Sets and executes clear and robust business strategies aligned with AIG's global goals.
* Builds strategic relationships and alliances with key external stakeholders, influencing decisions to advance the organization's objectives and enhance the growth potential of the company.
* Represents the AIG brand internally and externally with conviction, energy and commitment. Builds trust and confidence in the future of AIG
* A values-led leader with an unquestioned reputation for integrity and ethics. A strong character that will inspire the trust of others, both internally and externally.
* Solid understanding of insurance management information reports and accounts
* Additional experience in sales, business development or marketing preferable
* Strong financial acumen; able to anticipate, identify, and explain the financial implications of decisions
