Temporary Full Time until 9 April 2027

$96,098 package includes base salary ($84,666) plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Education Support Officer (ESO) to join our collaborative team of industry professionals in our Wollongong Campus. Working under the supervision of the Head Teacher or Teacher‐in‐Charge, and under the guidance of teaching staff as required, you will play an important role in supporting learners and enhancing the overall student experience. Through a range of hands‐on and learner‐focused activities, you will contribute to positive learning outcomes and support effective teaching and learning practices. This role is ideal for someone with current Early Childhood industry knowledge who enjoys working closely with students and educators to make a meaningful difference.

Note: This role does not teach or prepare lessons or resources and does not deliver training nor undertake assessment.

About you

You are a motivated and enthusiastic professional who is passionate about supporting learners in the Early Childhood sector. You bring strong industry insight and enjoy helping students build confidence, develop practical skills, and engage meaningfully with their learning journey.

You are confident working in an adult learning environment and take a positive, proactive approach to student support. Known for your clear communication style and approachable manner, you enjoy problem‐solving, explaining concepts effectively, and contributing to a supportive and engaging educational experience.

You value teamwork and collaboration, and build respectful, effective working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds. You are adaptable and comfortable working across both face‐to‐face and virtual environments, contributing positively to quality outcomes for students and the broader team.

Technologically capable, you have experience using information and communication technologies, including tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and online platforms like MS Teams, to support students both face‐to‐face and through virtual learning environments.

We are looking for motivated and engaged individual who has the ability to meet the following selection criteria:

* Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or above and minimum of three (3) years experience in the sector.
* Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
* High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be proactive and show initiative and ability to explain ideas in a clear and concise manner.
* Commitment and ability to support learning in an adult environment and a demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage students.
* Ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and to provide quality customer service as part of a broader team.
* Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.
