 
        
        Overview 
We are currently seeking an experienced, energetic and highly motivated professional to work as part of our Digital Services team as a Service Desk Officer on a permanent, full-time basis. This role is responsible for providing service desk functions, supporting Councillors and staff. An ideal candidate will provide essential support to our digital environment to ensure that they work with maximum efficiency. 
Responsibilities 
Provide service desk functions and support to Councillors and staff. Assist in ensuring the digital environment operates efficiently and effectively to support daily operations. 
Qualifications and experience 
- Certificate IV in Information Technology or a related field 
- Solid experience in an Information Technology support role 
- Experience providing end user support for enterprise technologies including networking, applications and infrastructure 
- Experience supporting Windows 10/11 end user environments, audio visual equipment and meeting resources 
- Strong written and verbal communications skills 
- Current class C driver's licence 
- Experience with a multi-site enterprise networking environment including switches, routers and wireless technologies 
- ITIL v3 or V4 Foundation certification 
- Sound knowledge of Active Directory/Entra, SCCM/intune, Office 365 and Technology One 
- Ability to work within a team environment 
- Availability to work versatile working hours 
Remuneration and benefits 
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement. 
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,563.45 per week 
- Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
