Regional Manager – Tasmania
A leading forestry management business is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join its executive team in Tasmania. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering long-term business strategies that drive profitability, strengthen client relationships, and enhance operational and cultural performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Champion safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement across all operations.
* Oversee estate strategy — from annual planning and model validation to stakeholder engagement and implementation.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with local and export customers, ensuring delivery, supply, and quality standards are met.
* Lead estate valuations, provide high-level strategic advice, and drive innovation in silviculture, marketing, and contractor capacity.
* Manage contracts, budgets, and supply chains to optimise cost efficiency, service, and asset performance.
* Advise the Board on market trends and strategic opportunities.
About You
* Tertiary qualifications with significant senior leadership experience in production forestry or a related industry.
* Proven ability to develop strategy, solve complex operational challenges, and build influential relationships.
* Commercial acumen with a strong track record of delivering measurable results.
* Commitment to workplace safety and fostering a high-performance culture.
* Postgraduate qualifications in business or experience in sales/marketing are highly regarded.
