About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Analyst to support the successful execution of key projects aligned with Anglicare Southern Queensland's strategic priorities, including our Digital Strategy.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, including vendors and subject matter experts, to gather requirements, develop solutions, and support implementation. A key focus of this role will be on data migration, aged care reporting, process improvement and supporting testing activities across various systems.
This is a fixed term, full time opportunity for 12 months from commencement. Based at our Fortitude Valley office, this role follows a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in the office and two days working from home each week.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage stakeholders to gather, document and analyse business requirements and desired outcomes
* Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to define data migration requirements and specifications
* Prepare build documents and support the development of reporting solutions alongside BI developers and clinical/finance SMEs
* Work with the Integration Analyst to define technical interfaces and data interactions
* Develop and maintain data migration plans, identifying risks, quality considerations and business sign-off requirements
* Support and monitor the testing and validation of data and reporting systems, including UAT and regression testing
* Undertake business process analysis and facilitate improvement workshops to support future state design
* Use BPMN and other tools to document procedures, workflows and test scenarios
* Assist with writing project artefacts, including business cases, scoping documents and user stories
* Maintain a high standard of stakeholder engagement and clear communication throughout project delivery

You are an experienced Business Analyst who thrives in complex environments and enjoys translating business needs into actionable outcomes. You bring strong analytical and problem solving, along with a structured approach to documentation, stakeholder engagement and project delivery.
You are collaborative, methodical and detail-oriented, with a passion for improving business processes and enabling high quality care through effective data and system solutions.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have
* A degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
* 5-7 years' experience in a business analyst or data analyst role, including experience with data migration
* Strong understanding of data structures, mapping, transformation and documentation
* Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into clear technical and functional requirements
* Experience preparing data migration plans and managing data-related risks and quality standards
* Familiarity with Power BI and experience in supporting reporting development (desirable)
* Proficiency in process modelling using BPMN
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, both written and verbal
* High level organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
* Knowledge of aged care or health sector systems is advantageous
* Current National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain)
* Current Queensland driver licence and willingness to travel within the service region
