The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health Information Services professional to lead a team of eight, overseeing clinical coding, medico-legal processes, clinical documentation, and data quality. With significant projects underway, including new system implementations, you will play a key role in change management, training, and ensuring data integrity. This role will suit someone with a background in hospital administration or health information management, ideally with previous exposure to clinical coding.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to a team of 8 members
- Oversee clinical coding, medico-legal requests, and data quality processes
- Ensure privacy, compliance, and information governance standards are met
- Lead change management initiatives for new systems and processes
- Manage reporting, risk management, and strategic planning activities
- Drive continuous improvement and staff development across the department
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5-10 years' experience in hospital administration or health information management
- Experience managing teams in a healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of clinical coding, medico-legal processes, and data integrity
- Background in nursing management or patient services management will be considered, provided robust administration capability
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
- Ability to manage projects, drive change, and build rapport with senior stakeholders.
