Based in Gladstone
About the role:
Reporting to the QLD General Manager, this position will be accountable for the safe and reliable day to day operational management of the Gladstone & Biloela Depots.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implementing and maintaining efficient operational processes to ensure smooth running of the depot.
* Managing and supervising depot staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
* Overseeing inventory management and ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
* Developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure compliance with regulations.
* Collaborating with other departments to coordinate logistics, transportation, and delivery schedules.
* Monitoring and analysing key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
* Handling customer enquiries, issues, and complaints in a professional manner.
* Preparing regular reports on depot performance for senior management review
* Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
The successful applicant will require:
* Previous experience in heavy vehicle &/or fuel industry an advantage
* Proven understanding of Fatigue Management, Mass Management, Quality Assurance and Chain of Responsibility legislation
* Sound Microsoft Office skills and attention to detail
* Effective communicator with proven record of building & maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Confident decision-maker with ability to work autonomously & lead a team within a diverse logistics operation
* Well-developed organisational, problem solving and time management skills
