The Role
Our Mount Isa team seeks a Field Service Technician to maintain our clients' fleet of Sandvik Mining equipment on-site and in the workshop.
This role ensures efficient maintenance, inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs of specialist mining equipment within the Sandvik product range.
Local and FIFO Positions Available
By maintaining machine efficiency, you'll enhance operational productivity and contribute to customer network expansion and support division development. In return, we provide comprehensive product training and specialized product support.
Areas of Responsibility
* Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
* Perform general mechanical duties, maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnostics on Sandvik Mining equipment.
* Carry out maintenance duties while upholding equipment integrity and ensuring safe operation.
* Provide feedback for efficient maintenance planning improvements.
* Record keeping of parts usage, equipment monitoring, and time records
* Support technicians from other regions and assist in training
* Work effectively in teams or autonomously
* Assist with machine audits/inspections
Your Profile
* Preferred Mount Isa local or willing to relocate with FIFO opportunities.
* Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certification is required.
* Demonstrated previous experience with Sandvik Underground mining equipment is advantageous.
* Strong safety culture and excellent communication skills.
* Customer service focus, motivation, and determination to achieve targets.
* Basic computer literacy and ability to work unsupervised.
* Class C Manual Driver's License is required.
* Ability to pass pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks, and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing
