Overview
Flight Attendants' Association of Australia (FAAA) is seeking a Digital Content Creator to support our communications and campaigns across social media and member platforms.
This role focuses on producing engaging, professional digital content that reflects the voice and values of Australian cabin crew. You will help strengthen member engagement, grow our digital reach and support key campaigns across safety, industrial and workplace issues.
This is a part-time role with flexibility in how hours are structured. The FAAA operates nationally. The position is offered on a 12-month fixed term basis, with the potential for extension.
Role responsibilities
* Create, schedule and manage content across social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and emerging channels.
* Develop graphics, short-form video, reels and visual assets to support campaigns and member engagement.
* Draft and design e-newsletters and digital updates for members.
* Support campaign launches with coordinated digital content, including visual branding and messaging consistency.
* Work with the team to plan content calendars aligned to key industrial, safety and organising priorities.
* Monitor engagement metrics and provide regular reporting on digital performance.
* Maintain a consistent, professional and contemporary visual identity across all platforms.
About you
* You have experience creating digital content for an organisation, campaign or brand.
* You are confident using design and video tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or similar platforms.
* You understand how to tailor tone and format to different audiences and channels.
* You have experience managing social media accounts and growing engagement.
* You are organised, proactive and capable of working independently within a small team.
Desirable experience
* Experience working within a union, advocacy organisation or membership-based body with a particular interest experience in aviation.
* Understanding of social media analytics and audience growth strategies.
* Familiarity with website content management systems and e-newsletter platforms.
* This role is suited to someone who can combine creativity with discipline, producing content that is visually strong, strategically aligned and reflective of a professional, safety-focused workforce.
* Applications should include examples of previous digital work or a portfolio demonstrating relevant experience.
