About the Role
This role is a great opportunity for a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team and provide technical assistance and support for hardware, software, and network issues in a Gold Coast location. The part-time position requires someone with excellent problem-solving skills and strong customer service abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Configure and maintain workstations and peripherals, ensuring smooth operation of desktop systems.
* Resolve technical incidents and troubleshoot hardware/software/network problems efficiently, minimizing downtime.
* Upgrade systems, software, and perform system maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
* Provide users with IT-related support and assistance, addressing their concerns and queries promptly.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting, setup, and maintenance of computers and peripherals, including advanced diagnostic techniques.
* Experience with software installation, system configuration, and basic networking setup, with a focus on security and reliability.
* Familiarity with IT-managed services, network security, and server maintenance, ensuring data protection and confidentiality.
* Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts simply and effectively.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
* Formal IT qualification or certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco) are advantageous, demonstrating expertise and commitment to professional development.
* Relevant experience in desktop support or a related technical support role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
