Job Description
We are seeking an Indigenous Law Graduate to join our team. As a First Nations legal professional, you will provide legal guidance and support across various matters.
Telstra's CARL team guides, counsels and provides direction across the business on matters that protect, enhance and shape our reputation, influence outcomes and help deliver on our transformation strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertaking in-depth legal research and analysis
* Drafting and reviewing various legal and commercial documents, including contracts and marketing materials
* Providing clear, commercial, fit-for-purpose and tailored support to internal stakeholders
* Developing proficiency in technology tools and agile ways of working
* Working collaboratively with the team and being flexible to support other teams during peak periods or business priorities
* BUILDING strong relationships with the lawyers and clients you support and delivering difficult messages while maintaining effective relationships
* Reinforcing with clients the appropriate ways of engaging with the legal team to drive adoption
* Identifying opportunities to stop or more efficiently manage work of low strategic priority and supporting the implementation of necessary solutions
* Attending internal and external training seminars.

* Quick thinking and enthusiastic problem-solving abilities
* Experience with Microsoft products Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Strong attention to detail
* Proactive approach
* Legal research experience
* Education: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD)
* Admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction (or working towards)
* Undergraduate studies in Arts, Commerce, Business, Economics or Science (desirable but not essential)
