Locum Hospital Pharmacist — Katherine, NTPay rate: up to $85 per hour + super
Responsibilities
* Provides comprehensive clinical pharmacy services across a wide range of specialties, including Oncology, Haematology, Paediatrics, Renal, Vaccination programs, and various outpatient specialist clinics.
* Oversees dispensary operations, ensuring medication supply, PBS compliance, and effective system management.
* Delivers expert medication advice and clinical reviews, contributing to safe and effective patient care across multiple hospital wards.
* Leads and mentors a team of pharmacists and technicians, fostering professional development and operational excellence.
* Facilitates staff training and interprofessional education for nursing and medical teams to support best practices in medication use.
* Drives quality improvement initiatives through audits, safety reporting, and implementation of risk-reduction strategies.
* Represents the pharmacy in multidisciplinary forums, contributing to hospital-wide strategies and service enhancements.
Qualifications and Skills
* AHPRA registered pharmacist with relevant Australian hospital experience.
* Ability to provide clinical pharmacy services across multiple wards and specialties.
