$126,720.88 - $129,314.15 + 12% super & salary packaging | Temporary Full Time | Illawarra Drug & Alcohol Service (iDAS) | REQ601356 | Grade: Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 1 | Applications close: 4 September 2025

This role is responsible for conducting comprehensive Drug & Alcohol assessments in collaboration with mental health clinicians and providing integrated discharge planning for complex patients and carers with a Dual Diagnosis in the Emergency Department. This involves working alongside mental health clinicians / peer workers and community stakeholders across mental health, drug and alcohol, and general health to ensure coordinated care and support before discharge, aiming to improve patient outcomes.

The D&A CNC1 is a clinical expert who leads the delivery of evidence-based clinical practice, provides education and management guidance to healthcare professionals, contributes to research, and offers professional leadership.

Requirements

* Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role
* Working With Children Check (WWCC)
* Current AHPRA Registration
* At least 5 years full-time post-registration experience, with approved post-registration nursing qualifications relevant to Drug & Alcohol, or other qualifications deemed appropriate by a public hospital or health organization
* Valid NSW Driver's Licence
