The successful applicant will be a first point of contact for all learning and development enquiries to the people and culture team and build relationships across the organisation with key stakeholders involved in this process.This role will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of a broad range of learning and development practices and programs. The Learning and Development Officer will identify emerging trend and opportunities to progress learning and development and also contribute to the delivery of council's workforce development plan and learning and development strategy.

ExperienceEssentialRelevant qualification and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
Key selection criteria 1Demonstrated experience in learning and development processes, proficient in the use of computer programs and online learning management systems.
Key selection criteria 2Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and operate under supervision while meeting set objectives and deadlines.
Key selection criteria 3Demonstrated experience and effectiveness in the development, facilitation and evaluation of corporate training programs, with focus on staff development and improvement.
Key selection criteria 4Well-developed interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively and gain co-operation and assistance from customers, management, and employees at all levels within the organisation.
