Code Camp is Australia's leading specialist school holiday and after-school provider! We are looking for fun and energetic casual staff to assist at our creative-technology camps during the Summer school holidays.
**Is this you?**
- Experienced or interested in working with kids (ages 5-12)?
- Passionate about creativity and technology in fields like AI, animation, video game building, YouTube and video editing, design (graphic design, fashion design, interior design), music production or STEM?
- Trustworthy, independent, punctual, and reliable?
- Able to work full days during the school holiday period (December 2024 - January 2025)
- Someone who feels confident speaking in front of a group, is enthusiastic and a good problem solver?
- Able to travel to various camp venues locations in your region?
About the position:
- You will be provided a lesson plan to deliver to a small class of primary-aged children
- Camps run for 2-3 consecutive weekdays 8am - 4pm (we do not run on weekends, public holidays or the week between Christmas and New Years).
- Paid training provided as well as support from a qualified teacher on the ground and our online tech-support team.
- Please note, our staff are required to supply their own Laptop and HDMI adapter for personal use
- Ongoing casual work available within our After School Programs and future holiday camp seasons
**Required Skills/Certifications**:
Whilst we don't require a specific degree or coding experience, you should have some or all of the following:
- Creative fields that involve technology such as animation, design, video game building, coding, video editing, music production, AI
- Prior experience working with young kids (aged 5-12) as this role involves leading a class
- Mature outlook, common sense, and ability to supervise children
- Fluent conversational English
- Valid Employee Working with children check (or willingness to obtain immediately)
