The Ranger in Charge manages the resources and day-to-day operations of the Great Western Tiers Field Centre which includes areas of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area (TWWHA).

In this role, the Ranger in Charge will:

* Be responsible for a team of dedicated and highly competent individuals.
* Support and develop the skills and potential of the team members.
* Contribute to development and implementation of the regional business plan and achievement of strategic goals.
* Manage the field centre resources, including budget and expenditure.
* Engage with local community, stakeholders and visitors.

Hours per fortnight

76.0 hours per fortnight (minimum 60.8 hours, by negotiation).

* A Diploma in Conservation and Land Management or other qualifications deemed equivalent.
* A minimum of five years’ experience in reserve management or equivalent experience.
* Experience in Geo-conservation principles and Karst management practices.
* Highly developed engagement and communication skills.
