We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Professional to join our dynamic team. The main focus for this role will be to provide administrative support to our lawyers.
Our Insurance practice has approximately 80 people located across Australia. We are a defendant Insurance legal team working across both General and Statutory matters with a focus on workers compensation.
Key Responsibilities:
* drafting of documentation as required;
* performing conflict searches and file opening;
* maintaining of extensive electronic filing for all incoming and outgoing correspondence (including splitting & saving documents in PDF format);
* preparation of all monthly billing;
* arranging court documents to be ready for e-filing / clerk run with the courts;
* managing all client file maintenance for the team;
* general file maintenance including closing and archiving;
* diary management including listing of key dates (court hearings and due dates);
* other ad hoc tasks.
Requirements:
* minimum of two years' experience in an administration environment (professional services preferable);
* experience working a document management system (eg iManage10 would be highly desirable);
* experience with large MS Word and PDF documents;
* previous experience with billing. (eg use of Aderant highly desirable);
* strong attention to detail;
* proactive and willing to learn new things; and
* excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
