About our team As a Social Worker within Gold Coast Health, you may have the opportunity to work in a variety of areas, including: Specialist Programs, Alcohol and Other Drugs Child and Youth Mental Health Services Inpatient Mental Health Services Community Mental Health Services Older Persons Mental Health Services About you You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based Mental Health Social Work across hospital and community settings. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support individuals with complex mental health needs, providing assessments, therapeutic interventions, and care planning to enhance recovery outcomes. Your contribution will be essential in promoting a person-centred approach within a recovery-oriented framework, ensuring the best possible support for those in need. Requirements of the role A tertiary degree in Social Work Eligible for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Driver Licence Blue card / Working with children check Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Talent Pool If deemed suitable, your details will remain in the Social Work Mental Health Expression of Interest Pool, and you may be contacted further by GCHHS at the time an opportunity arises matching your skills and location preferences.
