About The Role
Based in Townsville, you will be responsible to ensure smooth operation and contract performance objects are achieved by managing the performance of the delivery maintenance, repair and project services to Defence equipment including vehicles, plant, equipment and armoury, across the Northern QLD region.
Rostered hours of 7am – 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, and 7am - 12pm on Fridays.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Financial control including working to strict monthly budgets, forecasting, recommending maintenance improvements in productivity and/or cost and collecting and sharing cost informationBuild and maintain strong collaborative and trusted working relationship with the client to effectively meet their needs and ensure contract requirements are fulfilled according to agreed expectations Provide regular detailed reporting to the clientIdentify and execute continuous improvement initiatives in the areas of safety, quality and productivityTraining and development of your teamSupporting and implementing change initiativesAchieving best practice, safety and quality standardsRemoving the barrier to support the team to achieveProviding data and analytics to inform stakeholders and highlight risksLooking at opportunities of innovation and improvement
Required Skills And Experience
Proven management / leadership capability in a workshop environmentTrade qualification or maintenance experience is advantageousAbility to interact and drive performance with technical staff and subcontractorsDemonstrated project management skillsCommunication skills including presenting, negotiating and writing reportsIntermediate level MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Valid Driver’s licenceYou must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
