Key attributes of successful applicants:
Certificate IV or Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking
Demonstrated previous finance lending experience with a financial institution, as a credit analyst in a broker group, or as an accredited finance/mortgage broker.
Well developed understanding of credit policies and lending procedures.
Confident in handling all aspects of client communications to a high level.
Be thorough, precise and take pride in all aspects of your role.
Excellent customer service ethos and commitment to achieving positive client outcomes.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Adapt to and learn changes in technology and our processes.
High level of proficiency in verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and display a high level of time management skills in the handling of client finance applications.
Ability to work autonomously and as a part of our team.
The role specifically includes:
Assessing loan options by analysing client documents, interpreting lender policy, and completing serviceability and loan-structuring assessments.
Identifying risks within applications and addressing credit concerns or policy exceptions with appropriate mitigants.
Preparing high-quality credit submissions and maintaining accurate file notes to meet NCCP, APRA and ASIC compliance requirements.
Managing effective communication with clients, accountants, solicitors, agents and lenders to build rapport, provide clarity & education, and ensure a smooth and stress-free loan process.
Driving timely progression of applications, resolving bottlenecks, and ensuring finance and settlement deadlines are achieved.
Maintaining data accuracy across systems and ensuring all documentation is complete, compliant, and audit-ready.
Position Summary:
The successful candidate will work closely with the administration, processing and settlement assistants to ensure a seamless work flow from incoming leads to settlement. This role does not require business development responsibilities (unless preferred - this can be discussed).
This role is for an EXPERIENCED MORTGAGE BROKER OR CREDIT ANALYST ONLY. We need someone who is ready to start writing loans upon commencement of the role.
