Role
:
The position is responsible for the efficient planning, organising, monitoring, and supervising of the facilities maintenance operations in accordance with Forensicare's Strategic Asset Management plan, Asset Management Plan and the requirements of the Asset Management Accountability Framework and will perform a variety of tasks relevant to management of Forensicare's owned and leased facilities.
Duties:
1. Oversee the maintenance requirements of the organisation across all Forensicare sites to ensure preventative and corrective maintenance is carried out to ensure all services are functioning 24/7/365 in accordance with relevant legislation to ensure that Forensicare is able to provide best care to its consumers at all times.
2. Develop and organize preventative maintenance and safety inspection programs for all facilities and equipment in accordance with the Asset Management Plan (AMP).
3. Plan, prioritise, and establish work schedules and methods for providing facility maintenance services; identify resource needs; review needs with appropriate management staff and allocate resources accordingly.
4. Coordinate minor works construction projects, remodels, and other special projects.
5. Assist with the preparation of specifications for contract services.
About You:
6. Demonstrated experience in facility maintenance experience including leadership and team development.
7. Demonstrated experience in driving compliance with legislation and principles relating to Essential Safety measures and OHS.
8. A working knowledge of materials, methods, terminology, equipment and tools used in the maintenance, repair, and construction of building structures and systems including those used in performing rough and finished carpentry, plumbing, heating, electrical, mechanical, and painting work.
9. A good understanding of office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software (particularly MEX and other maintenance management platforms) including spreadsheet, and database applications.
