Finance and Business Services Division Full-time, permanent position Base salary will be in the range $100,554 - $109,496 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 7) Based at our St Lucia location About This Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated, diligent, and experienced Supervisor, Financial Services to lead the Transactional Services, Central team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Transactional Services, and working under broad direction, the role is responsible for delivering a range of financial services to clients and administering UQ’s payable transaction system environment, interfaces and processes. The role maintains effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of service quality, timeliness, and accuracy in service delivery. Key responsibilities will include: Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery of financial services aligned with client business needs, while maintaining compliance with University policies, governance protocols, and legislative requirements. Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of financial transaction processes and systems, including managing vendor relationships and maintaining data integrity across platforms. Provide expert financial guidance and support to business units regarding policies, procedures, systems, and reporting, to align finance practices with strategic objectives. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure service delivery meets client expectations and supports effective adoption of finance practices and tools. Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Accounts Payable ERP systems (e.g. UniFi, Oracle) to manage and oversee end-to-end AP transactions and service delivery. Ability to apply structured problem-solving techniques and sound judgement to analyse, manage, and resolve a diverse range of finance transaction issues within established policy frameworks. Proven ability to build and maintain strong, productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner and effective service provider. Demonstrated experience in leading and supervising professional teams, including work allocation, performance oversight, technical coaching, and ensuring service quality and risk management. Strong commitment to delivering high-quality financial services that support the Division and University’s strategic and operational goals. Background in professional advisory and/or service delivery functions within complex stakeholder environments, with the ability to navigate policy and governance requirements effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly, influence outcomes, and contribute positively to team and organisational culture.
