Moree Care is a community-based, not-for-profit with offices in Mungindi and Moree.
We support older people, and younger people with disability, and the carers of both these groups, enabling them to live as independently as possible in the community. We provide Aged Care, Meals on Wheels, NDIS services, and Community Transport to everyone in our community who is transport disadvantaged.
About The Role
The Cook is responsible for preparation of daily meals for delivery to clients and in house catering. This is a casual role 3 hours per day, five days per week, from 8.30am am. Additional hours may become available depending on demand.

Competitive salary + NFP salary packaging + superannuation + allowances
Commencing casual rate: SCHADS Level 1 $ 32.88 per hour (with progression to $33.94 per hour after 3 month probation) + super + first aid allowance.
Essential Competencies
* Previous experience as a Cook or Kitchen Assistant preferably within an aged care, childcare or hospitality setting
* Relevant food safety qualifications or a willingness to obtain same within 3 months of commencement
* An understanding of the needs of older people, people with disability and their carers
* Good interpersonal skills, and a commitment to client-focused service
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Able to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a team
* Excellent time management and problem-solving skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities
* First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain within 3 months
* A current full NSW Drivers Licence
* NDIS Worker check before commencement
Desirable Competencies
* Experience meeting food safety compliance
