About the Role
As Transport Manager, you'll lead our Queensland food distribution and 3PL driver teams, ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence. This is a senior leadership role where you'll drive strategic initiatives, manage stakeholder relationships, and deliver superior service outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with NHVR & Chain of Responsibility (CoR) regulations
* Lead and develop driver teams and manage third‑party transport providers
* Oversee escalated customer queries and staff disciplinary matters
* Drive operational performance and profitability through effective strategies
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
* Develop operational plans aligned with strategic business growth
* Partner with the GM Operations on recruitment, coaching, and performance management
* Set and monitor annual performance goals
* Deliver timely operational reporting to stakeholders
* Manage fleet maintenance scheduling, rostering, and route planning

You're a confident leader with a strong operational mindset and a passion for transport and logistics. You thrive in a fast‑paced environment and know how to balance compliance, efficiency, and team engagement.
Skills & Experience
* Sound knowledge of transport regulations & legislation
* Proven experience in transport & logistics management
* Strong senior‑level operational leadership background
* Excellent administrative and communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, ERP & TMS systems
* Demonstrated success in coaching, staff development, and disciplinary processes
