 
        
        Our client is a global leader in aluminum extrusion and operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Loganlea, Queensland. 
Supplying high-quality extruded aluminum profiles primarily for the construction sector, the facility runs six days a week with a strong focus on automation, innovation, and safety. 
Due to ongoing investment and increased production demands, we are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join the skilled maintenance team. 
This is a permanent, full-time role offering excellent pay, job security, and opportunities for growth. 
About the Role: 
As a key member of the Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for both preventative and breakdown maintenance across a wide range of automated equipment and systems used in the extrusion and packaging process. 
This role is hands-on and will suit a proactive tradesperson with strong fault-finding skills, particularly in PLC systems (Allen Bradley and Siemens), and experience in high-speed manufacturing environments. 
Key Responsibilities: 
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on: 
- Automated material handling systems 
- Wrapping, packaging, and labelling equipment 
- Extrusion presses and downstream systems 
- Diagnose and repair faults in PLC and VSD systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens) 
- Respond to breakdowns efficiently and prioritise tasks to minimise downtime 
- Optimise machine performance and support continuous improvement activities 
- Work closely with other trades (mechanical, fabrication) to maintain plant uptime 
- Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, and management teams 
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS 
- Ensure all work is completed to WHS standards and promote a culture of safety

What we’re looking for: 
- Current QLD Electrical Trade Certificate / Licence 
- Proven experience in automated or high-volume manufacturing environments 
(experience in extrusion, food, steel, or pharmaceutical industries highly regarded) 
- Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills 
- Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLCs and VSDs (Siemens experience also valued) 
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics 
- Competency in using computers (MS Office, CMMS) 
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment 
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and procedures
