People and Culture Officer

We are seeking a highly organised administrative professional with strong interpersonal skills, a foundational understanding of HR processes, and a genuine desire to make a meaningful impact within our college community.

Our College

Nambour Christian College (NCC) is an outstanding Christ‐centred, mission‐driven co‐educational, inter‐denominational Prep to Year 12 Christian School located in the heartland of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. NCC has over 1300 students across our sub schools: Junior (P‐6), Middle (7‐9) and Senior (10‐12). The Mission of NCC is to provide a secure and supportive Christ‐centred learning community, where a commitment to excellence, creativity and service is encouraged and modelled.

About the role

The People and Culture Officer will provide effective administrative support to our Head of People and Culture. This integral position will be important in supporting our Christ‐centred, missional workplace culture. As a trusted point of connection within the college, the role will support the ongoing development and implementation of people and culture strategies that enhance our employee experience.

This role invites creative thinking and a proactive approach to turning vision into reality, working in close partnership with the Head of People and Culture to thoughtfully unpack ideas and bring them to life in ways that reflect our college's mission and values.

The role offers opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our college community, develop your career in people and culture, while utilising your existing expertise. You will work alongside dedicated professionals who share a commitment to excellence and Christian values.

This role reports to the Head of People and Culture and ultimately to the Executive Principal, working closely with our Payroll Manager, Heads of Schools, Senior Leaders, and college staff. The position is Permanent Part‐Time, 4 days per week, Tuesday to Friday, 30.4 Hours per week, mostly Term time only.

The People and Culture Officer role plays a vital part in promoting and nurturing a supportive workplace culture while delivering comprehensive administrative support across a range of HR functions.

A detail‐oriented and process‐driven mindset will support smooth operations, while effective time and task management will help navigate a dynamic work environment.
