Storeperson – Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL)
Shape the future of Defence logistics with Toll Group.
Based at Palmer Barracks in South Guildford WA, you'll act as a critical bridge supporting the day‐to‐day operations of a DTL site. This position provides crucial support to the efficient operation of warehousing activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching Defence equipment, supplies and materials. Working under the supervision of the Team Leader, you will maintain compliance with Government & Defence contractual requirements, Defence regulations, safety protocols and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Support the DTL contract from a site operational warehouse perspective
- Assist with deliveries and forklift operations as required
- Attend site meetings as required
- Committed to maintaining a safe working environment and adhere to WHS standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics or similar operational environment is desirable, though not essential for this entry‐level position
- Experience in deliveries (HR Licence required)
- Assistance with loading & unloading vehicles and moving pallets within the warehouse (Forklift Licence required)
- Must be an Australian Citizen and eligible for and maintain an Australian AGSVA Defence Security Clearance
- Safety orientation: commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adherence to WHS standards
- Teamwork & collaboration: ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to the success of the warehouse operation
- Time management: efficient workload management and meeting deadlines in a time‐sensitive environment
- Attention to detail: consistently ensuring accuracy in stock management, order fulfilment and reporting
- Physical fitness required – the role involves manual handling, lifting and carrying of materials
Eligibility to make the grade
- Be an Australian Citizen.
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Defence Security Clearance (Baseline or higher).
- Be prepared to undergo pre‐employment checks including criminal history, medical and other background assessments.
